The Silk Road: A Living History - Aga Khan Museum

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 02/28/2022
The Museum’s latest outdoor exhibition is a visual travelogue of adventurer Christopher Wilton-Steer’s 2019 expedition along the Silk Road. Kicking off his journey in Venice and finishing off in Beijing, the UK-based writer and photographer traversed 40,000 kilometres over four months, documenting the architecture, the natural beauty, the history, and, most importantly, the people he encountered along the way. *Effective Wednesday, January 05, 2022, the Aga Khan Museum will be temporarily closed in accordance with new government directives aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19. We will look to public health officials for guidance on when it is appropriate for the Museum to reopen.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The result is a stirring collection of photographs celebrating the stunning diversity of places and people that populate the Silk Road. At the same time, The Silk Road: A Living History is a powerful testament to the common humanity we all share and the deeply rooted connections that exist between disparate cultures.
