Pollinator Conservation: The Human Dimensions
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 09/21/2023
This presentation will summarize what we currently know about pollinator declines in Canada and what the next steps should be to conserve species before they reach the point of extinction. Various human-related barriers to success will be discussed, such as misinformation, the conflation of wild bee declines with honeybee industry issues, the power of lobbyists and, the differences between local and large-scale threats. The presentation will conclude with some concrete ways people can really help “save the bees.”
