Gather for Family Day at Scarborough Museum

Let creativity shine with fun, engaging activities for all ages and warm, delicious treats! Create something special during drop-in craft workshops by guest artists Jasmine Vanstone and Janet Hinkle. Gibson House Museum will join in the fun with thaumatrope-making alongside Leteni Kahawa, serving complimentary warm drinks (first come, first served for a total of 50 drinks).

Enjoy the museum's story corner, featuring books for all ages that celebrate Black lived experiences and stories. Sample a scone fresh from the museum's kitchen, featuring spreads from local Chef Christopher Loney - aka Honey Guru. Join Scarborough Museum in celebrating Black History Month with activities that explore what it means to create space for one’s community, weaving together stories, food, art, and shared experiences.
