Biscuit Day
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 10/22/2022
This Saturday, October 22nd, bring the whole family to "Biscuit Day" at Old Fort Niagara. Participants will be able to make, bake and take their own ration of 18th or 19th century biscuit. "Biscuit" at that time is like the more well-known "hard-tack" of the Civil War.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
This event will take place from 11 am - 3pm in the bakehouse of the fort. Join the fort's baker as he demonstrates the different techniques in making biscuit and it's uses during the 1700's and early 1800's at Fort Niagara. All those helping him make biscuit will be able to take home their own sample to bake.
